Sunsets sitting still.
Allowing the overcast to obscure the glow
Of what could reliably be called a ‘God’
Judgement days followed by careless nights.
When you feel like the end is nigh
The great star rises again and gives you just enough light
To make out a path.
Follow it and even if you fall
Your collapse can’t define you.
We’ve all been brick buildings in earthquakes
But when the shaking stops, you won’t be judged by the rubble.
But by how you rebuild.
So praise the sun, accept the night.
And use all of your available light.
